DNC-2192 Fully Submersible Wi-Fi Antenna with Permanent Waterproof Cable
The DNC-2192 is a professional fully submersible dual-band Wi-Fi antenna assembly designed for marine, underwater, outdoor, and OEM wireless communication systems. It supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz operation, provides 8dBi gain, and includes a permanent waterproof 50 Ohm RF coaxial cable around 3 meters long.
The key advantage of this antenna is that the entire antenna body and the cable-to-antenna connection point can be submerged underwater. The RF cable enters from the bottom of the antenna through a fully sealed waterproof connection, so the antenna does not need to be screwed directly into a sealed housing to remain protected.
Key Benefits
Fully Submersible Antenna Assembly
The antenna body and bottom cable entry are fully sealed, allowing the complete antenna assembly to be submerged underwater.
Permanent Waterproof RF Cable
The antenna includes a fixed waterproof RF cable, allowing flexible placement on a buoy, near the water surface, underwater, or in a wet marine environment.
No Housing Mount Required
Unlike bulkhead-style antennas, the DNC-2192 does not need to be mounted directly into a waterproof housing to keep the antenna connection sealed.
Dual-Band 2.4GHz / 5GHz
Supports common Wi-Fi and wireless communication systems operating on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies.
Why DNC-2192 Is Different
The key difference of the DNC-2192 is that the entire antenna assembly, including the antenna body and the cable-to-antenna connection point, can be fully submerged underwater. The permanent RF cable enters the bottom of the antenna through a completely sealed waterproof connection, allowing the antenna to operate as a standalone submersible antenna assembly.
Unlike bulkhead-style antennas that must be mounted directly to a sealed underwater housing, the DNC-2192 does not need to be screwed into a waterproof enclosure to remain protected. The antenna itself and the cable entry area are sealed, so the complete antenna can be placed underwater, mounted on a buoy, positioned near the surface, or used in wet marine environments where standard Wi-Fi antennas cannot survive.
Diagram A — Surface Wi-Fi Communication Workflow
The DNC-2192 can be placed underwater, near the surface, or above the waterline while the camera, router, video transmitter, telemetry system, or control electronics remain protected inside a housing, buoy, enclosure, or marine system.
Diagram B — Typical Applications for DNC-2192
The DNC-2192 is not just a waterproof antenna. It is a fully sealed submersible Wi-Fi antenna assembly for marine, underwater, and harsh outdoor systems where reliable antenna placement is critical.
Compatibility Ecosystem
The DNC-2192 can be integrated with Wi-Fi routers, wireless bridges, access points, video transmission systems, telemetry devices, camera control systems, and surface communication equipment. Cable termination can be configured with common RF connector options such as N-Type, SMA, and TNC.

Important Connection Warning
Before submerging any waterproof RF system, inspect the antenna, cable, and external RF connector area. Make sure all external RF connections are fully tightened by hand and protected from movement or strain. Do not use pliers. An improperly secured connection may cause corrosion, RF instability, or equipment damage.

Engineering Note
Wi-Fi and other RF signals are strongly attenuated by water. The DNC-2192 is mechanically designed as a fully submersible antenna assembly, including the sealed antenna body and bottom cable entry. For wireless performance, practical communication should still be planned for surface, buoy-mounted, splash-zone, near-surface, or above-water operation rather than long-distance transmission through water.

FAQ
Does the DNC-2192 need to be screwed into a waterproof housing?
No. The DNC-2192 does not need to be mounted directly into a sealed housing to remain waterproof. The antenna body and the bottom cable-to-antenna connection are fully sealed, allowing the antenna assembly itself to be submerged.
Can the entire antenna go underwater?
Yes. The antenna body and the cable entry connection are designed as a fully submersible sealed assembly.
Does Wi-Fi work underwater?
Wi-Fi does not travel well through water. The DNC-2192 is waterproof and can be submerged, but practical wireless communication should be planned near the surface, above the waterline, on a buoy, or in a splash-zone environment.
What is the cable length?
The standard permanent waterproof RF cable is around 3 meters long. Custom cable lengths may be available depending on system requirements.
Can I use it with DJI Transmission systems?
Yes. The DNC-2192 can be used in DJI wireless video and other professional wireless systems where waterproof or marine-ready antenna placement is required. Final compatibility depends on connector type and system configuration.
Can the RF connector type be customized?
Yes. Common termination options include N-Type, SMA, and TNC. Custom RF connector options may be available.
Is it suitable for saltwater?
The antenna is designed for marine environments. After saltwater use, rinse the assembly with fresh water and inspect the connector area before storage or repeated operation.
