The main advantage of this system is its combination of a detachable underwater HDMI cable and a permanently attached external power cable. The HDMI cable can be disconnected and replaced in the field if it is damaged, while the power cable keeps the GoPro powered from the surface for extended operation.

This system can be configured with different cable lengths depending on the project. Available HDMI and power cable lengths include 10m, 30m, 45m, 60m, and 100m. The 100m configuration is the maximum standard cable length, but shorter versions are available for easier handling, lower cost, and smaller deployment areas.

The most important feature is the field-replaceable HDMI cable. If the HDMI cable is damaged during transportation, deployment, commercial diving, inspection work, research, or live streaming, the cable can be replaced without sending the housing back for repair.

Important Housing Sealing Warning

Before every dive or underwater use, carefully verify that the housing is fully closed and properly sealed. Make sure the O-ring sealing surfaces are clean and free from sand, hair, dust, water drops, cable fragments, or any foreign objects. Before closing the housing, confirm that no internal cable, wire, strap, or accessory is trapped between the two housing halves. Always inspect the O-rings, sealing surfaces, internal cable position, and housing closure before submerging the unit.

Mounting Material Warning

Do not mount stainless steel brackets, clamps, arms, or hardware directly against the anodized aluminum housing. In saltwater and chlorinated environments, stainless steel may accelerate galvanic corrosion of aluminum. For direct mounting contact, use Delrin / acetal, HDPE, nylon, or titanium. If stainless steel hardware must be used, isolate the metals using non-conductive washers, bushings, spacers, or mounting plates.
