Product Overview
DNC-1180 is a professional underwater-to-surface USB 3.1 USB-C extension cable designed for short-distance USB data transfer, device control, service access, camera tethering, and compatible USB-C workflows.
This cable is not limited to camera systems. It can also be used with compatible USB-C devices, sensors, controllers, data modules, inspection equipment, research instruments, service ports, and custom underwater systems where a reliable USB-C connection is needed between submerged equipment and a dry surface device.
The underwater end connects to a compatible Dive And See USB-C bulkhead connector installed in an underwater housing or sealed enclosure. The surface end is equipped with a standard USB-C connector for connection to a laptop, computer, controller, recorder, test device, or other compatible dry-side equipment.
With a maximum cable length of 3 meters / 9.8 feet and an operating depth rating of 50 meters / 164 feet, the DNC-1180 provides a compact solution for professional underwater USB-C applications where a long tether is not required.

Important Operating Information
- The USB-C connector on the surface end is a dry-side connector and must remain completely dry during operation.
- Only the underwater cable section and correctly assembled waterproof connector interface are intended for submersion.
- Inspect the underwater connector, sealing surfaces, and O-rings before every deployment.
- Do not connect or disconnect the underwater connector while submerged.
- Do not lift, tow, or support underwater equipment by the cable.
- USB data speed, control functions, and charging performance depend on the connected device, software, internal cable, bulkhead connector, and surface equipment.
